Following on from the Young Philosopher’s Club (for the 10 to 16 year olds) we wanted to address the next age group who may have already left home and not yet found their place in society.
To this end we have arranged a one day taster of Practical Philosophy.
Relationships, work, what constitutes success and living a purposeful life may be some of the issues which occupy the mind at this stage of life. To have access to time tested principles and a space to consider some of these questions could be just what some young people are looking for.
The day is organized by two young practical philosophers, themselves leading busy professional lives while investing wisely in self development. We hope this will appeal to our younger audience and initiate a taste and curiosity to know more and attend a full course in the near future.
This workshop is held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 17th 2011 at 5960 Stoneridge Drive, Pleasanton and at just $30 (including lunch) affords our young adults a taste of self-development and what the school can do to help them find their way in life.
