Presence of Mind

Presence of Mind –  Freedom

Our theme this term is Presence of Mind.

We shall consider the eternal present and the powers it contains. We shall also explore the nature of the mind: what are its unlimited capabilities. We will study Plato’s timeless Allegory of the Cave and its relevance to our lives today.

In addition, we will discover what philosophy has to say about the concept of Freedom and its true nature as it applies both to individuals and society. We will explore freedom and its relationship to Truth, freedom of speech, emotional freedom, freedom from tyranny, freedom and the meaning of humanity.

We will discover how freedom is lost and learn how it may be experienced fully and constantly.
